Our Block Party campaign is spreading the message that more neighbors means more fun in our communities. As the summer begins, that means more folks around for barbeques, bike rides, and chats on the front stoop.
To create these walkable, neighborly communities, we need more housing options within Asheville’s city limits.
For pro-environment and pro-housing advocates, that means more “middle housing” like duplexes, fourplexes, and townhomes built within our city limits. That way, we can increase our housing supply and stop sprawl from destroying our region’s mountain landscapes.
We’re hosting an event to kick off our Block Party campaign for middle housing on June 24th ahead of a busy season of policy advocacy. RSVP today to meet other advocates from around the city over appetizers and drinks, and to learn how you can get involved in our campaign this summer.
You can help promote smart, inclusive growth in Asheville. Join us on June 24th at 6pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in North Asheville.
